If you are df'd/da'd and have nothing to lose, you said that you left (I have no idea of your situation, please pay NO attention to me otherwise), could you say something like.. 'It wasn't bad associations that drew me away, there were just some things that bothered me.. Like did you know that Witnesses were associated with the UN?' ' Etc .. I know that personally I can't stand false accusations, I can really lose my cool if anyone labels/accuses me in some way. Hope you're not too angry, anyway.

by jay dubless ini have lurked now and then, just decided to join.. my older brother and i were raised by our jw mom, but our dad was a non-practicing catholic.
so we went to the hall, but were considered "weak" witnesses, since our family still celebrated xmas and birthdays, to appease my dad i suppose.
as a kid, i loved these holidays.. anyways, when my brother was 17 (i was 13), he spent a few weeks with our cousins in ky, who are all gung-ho j-dubs, and upon his return, he decided he was going to be more "theocratic".

New light Watchtower magazine leaked from organization weeks ahead of general release

What is the difference (in reality) between them being appointed as Gods channel in 1919 AND over Christ's domestics, to the 'new light' where they were still appointed as Gods channel in 1919? And does this mean that the apostles and the ''first century governing body'' were not appointed to feed anybody??

I found out a JW friend of mine has an addiction to torturing animals!
by Vienna Angelika inlast night i found out a close jw friend of mine takes delight in watching animal torture.
i am an animal lover, and i dont know what to think.
i dont want to end our friendship because this friend has been very accepting of me.

Can anyone clarify what this change means, though, in a literal sense? It seems to me that they're basically saying ''Russell wasn't inspired by God, (hence we can ignore the nutty things he said) , but his role was similar to John" (who WAS inspired by God, last time i checked)... Also, what is the difference in reality between them being appointed as Gods channel in 1919 AND over Christ's domestics, to the 'new light' where they were still appointed as Gods channel in 1919? And does this mean that the apostles and the ''first century governing body'' were not appointed to feed anybody?? I'm completely lost.. Good article, Cedars, as was the one about racism in old Watchtowers.
